Rachel & Nathan‘s Sunset Wedding in Southern Maryland Sunset Wedding is live and we are so excited to share this one! We’ve known Rachel and her family since she was a little girl. Growing up she was the best of friends with our nieces’ Ashleigh and Erin, whom you may have met as our photo assistant before she joined the US Navy a couple of years ago. Hooyah!

Quick flashback. One year when the girls were about 15 years old, Rachel brought her friend Nathan to the house. He was a very kind and respectful young man and everyone instantly loved him. Looking back, Rachel and Nathan were pretty much inseparable since then! Naturally, Nathan fit right into the family as if he’d been there all along. So long story short, Rachel and Nathan are your ultimate “high school sweethearts.” They’ve been together straight through their formative years right into adulthood. For everyone around them, it was no surprise that these two were getting married. Naturally, it was the next step.

After having it a quiet ceremony in July with their family, we thought it only proper to make sure these beautiful people had a few great photos too. We met Rachel and Nathan on a fall afternoon at a park near the Potomac River to document their marriage. The shy couple stunned!! They seriously have some natural talent of being in front of the camera. It was so fun watching them smile and laugh together as they always have done. Just this time is was intheir formal attire!

We love the photos we created during the session and we hope they bring years of joy to this wonderful couple. Congratulations Rachel and Nathan. We wish you many years of continued happiness!
