As winter is slowly coming to an end, we are so excited to share this styled New York Winter Elopement. Sometimes even the coldest of days can produce the loveliest photographs! We love it when couples choose to embrace the snow – because it is SOO WORTH IT!
We ventured about an hour and a half north of New York City to a little town nestled right in the mountains. In the town of Hopewell Junction was our destination, The Bykenhulle House. This historic Bread & Breakfast, built over one hundred and sixty years ago, is turned into delightful a wedding destination.
Going inside the old manor in like taking a step back into history. While modernized to be very comfortable, the manor is decked out in period appropriate furniture and artwork. We personally were impassioned by the wallpaper!
Luckily, the snowfall on the days before the shoot had left the garden and surrounding property of the Bykenhulle white with a few inches of powdery snow. Real-life couple, Willow and Chris were so friendly and they braved the immense cold like professional models. From a first look to a short reception, we captured all the intimate moments!
One last note, if you are planning your elopement, don’t forget to bring your furry family members!
