Colorado is a beautiful place, especially when you are having a wedding at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park! The state is filled with natural wonders. Certainly, it seems like every stretch of road has it’s own unique visual intrigues. The state is home to all sorts of wildlife such as moose, elk, deer, mountain lions and bear (we actually even saw a big one!). Because of this, Colorado is an outdoor lovers paradise and we’re so happy we got to hike a few trails and at the same time visit some very beautiful vantage points.
To clarify, we were eager to see nature in its glory. But, we didn’t go to Colorado just for the views. Luckily, we traveled there as destination wedding photographers for Alexis & Victor’s Wedding! This trip marked the first time (in a hand full of years) for these DC Wedding Photographers to have traveled for a wedding outside the East Coast. In addition, it kicked off our wedding season!
For Alexis & Victor’s wedding, we found ourselves at a wonderful venue just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park, the Black Canyon Inn. Located in Estes Park, this Colorado resort is everything you could ask for in a wedding venue. To list, the accommodations are wonderful, the grounds are stunning with multiple locations for photography, and the view of the not so far off Rocky Mountains at the ceremony. Simply put, it surely sells for its stunning view!
Above all, we were so lucky to have such a fun couple! Alexis and Victor met while serving in the US Army and have since moved together to Colorado. In their spare time they enjoy outdoor activities and riding their dirt bikes (as you’ll see by their groomsmen cake!). During their Bride and Groom photos we ventured right to the edge of the mountains. Thankfully, the couple was all about getting in the tall grass and climbing some rocks.
